Dr. Adam J Brown BSc (Hons) MBBChir PhD MRCP

Dr. Adam J. Brown is an academic interventional cardiologist at MonashHeart and holds a Senior Lecturer position at Monash University. Dr. Brown originally studied medicine at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge and undertook the majority of his cardiology clinical training at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, the UK’s largest specialist cardiothoracic centre. From there, Dr. Brown was appointed to a highly prestigious academic training programme and held a Clinical Lectureship at the University of Cambridge. His research has been funded through competitive grants funded by the British Heart Foundation, Academy of Medical Sciences and recent award of an Early Career Practitioner Fellowship by Monash Health and Monash University. By virtue of this support, Dr. Brown continues to be highly research active, with ongoing collaborative projects with international partners in Eurpoe and the United States. He currently supervises several PhD candidates and holds a position on the Monash Health Human Research Ethics Committee. To date, Dr. Brown has published numerous book chapters and over 60 research articles in high-impact journals including Nature Cardiology, Annals of Internal Medicine, JACC and Circulation.
